Without a doubt the most fantastic place at Lake Como. The house has stunning views to the lake, the kitchen is equipped with all needed tools (and more), and the Crotto speaks for itself with the amazing naturally cooled wine fridge. This is the place to stay, if you are looking for a place to stay with family or friends in amazing surroundings. I had the best sleep ever in these beds!!

My girlfriend and I stayed at Villa Crotto during our vacation at lago di Como 🇮🇹
I was blown away by the amount of love and care the owners have given this house.
The house is located with the most amazing view of the lake and mountains ⛰️
The star of the house, the crotto, is out of this world! What an amazing and beautiful room!
Also, the beds are phenomenal. I slept like a rock every night 💤

Denne smukt beliggende bolig ved Comosøen er en sand perle. Med 5 store dobbeltværelser, alle med eget badeværelse, og lækre senge, er komforten i top. Boligen er stilfuldt designet med lækkert interiør og et veludstyret køkken, der har alt, man behøver.

Den fantastiske udsigt over søen kan nydes fra både huset og den private have, der byder på pool, gazebo med grillområde og en køkkenhave. De mange hyggelige kroge og trapper giver stedet karakter, men gør det mindre egnet til gangbesværede.

Alt i alt et perfekt valg for dem, der søger luksus og skønhed ved Comosøen!

INCREDIBLE dining room in barrel vaulted 600 year old grotto. Have to see it to believe it.

Super location but be prepared to walk some steep cobblestone steps and streets...that's part of the lakeside charm

Thin walls between upstairs bedrooms.
Tiny kitchen w micro freezer/fridge but otherwise well equipped and charming.
Complicated recycling schema.

Steep narrow metal gangways to loft sleeping, although this may be a positive if you're limber or young at heart or just like different.

Overall highly recommended and lucky to have stayed at such a beautiful home.

Villa Crotto provided a perfect setting for bringing together three generations of our family for a special celebration at Lake Como. The villa offered so much more than just a base to venture out from, it became our home for the week. A place where we could all relax, cook, swim, eat, drink, have fun and be together in beautiful surroundings inside and out.

A wonderful villa in the most charming area of the lake como. Erik and Cathrine er wonderful hosts!

With 5 large double rooms, it’s ideal for family reunions or couples traveling together.

In the garden you find both a pool and a nice dining area overlooking lake como.

A large kitchen and rustic wine cave / dining room allows for feasts to be cooked - either by yourselves or an associated chef that can be hired though the hosts.

Great place to stay in Carate Urio. Plenty of space for even the biggest of families. The kitchen is well kitted out and there is a possibility of ordering a chef to cook for you. There are three floors 2 of which are dedicated for bedrooms and bathrooms. There is a terrace with plenty of outside furniture for sunbathing and a pool (this was unfortunately out of service for us during our visit). Close by are plenty of places to swim in the Lake along side the locals. Be warned that there is NO parking near the villa the closest you can come to the Villa by road is 100 meters by a small rocky staircase.

Villa Crotto is a superb place with breathtaking views of the Lago di Como and a modern interieur. I can really recommend it.
